Eco-Taste Mushroom Coffee

Mushroom coffee?

Mushroom coffee is made by combining brewed coffee with medicinal mushrooms such as cordyceps or lion’s mane. This combination is said to provide the energy boost of coffee with the added health benefits of the mushrooms. It is often sold as an instant blend that just needs to be added to hot water to enjoy.

Today, we will be taking a closer look at Eco-Taste Mushroom Coffee. Eco-Taste has been in business since 2002, and they produce a wide range of herbs, supplements, gummies, powders, and other products. Let’s pour a cup of their mushroom coffee and see how it compares to other products available on the market.

Product Description

Eco-Taste Mushroom Coffee is a unique and innovative product that combines the benefits of mushrooms with the taste and convenience of instant coffee. This coffee blend is made with organic arabica coffee beans and a blend of 10 functional mushrooms: Reishi, Turkey Tail, Lion’s Mane, Chaga, Cordyceps, Maitake, Poria Cocos, Black Fungus, Mesima, and Tremella.

It is well-packaged in a convenient size and easy to toss in a bag or store neatly. Upon opening it has the pleasant smell of coffee with hints of earthiness. The taste is rich and smooth, and the mushrooms are barely perceptible, but give the coffee a full, warm flavor. The coffee itself is of good quality and not bitter at all like a lot of instant coffee brands. I usually enjoy this coffee black, but it is equally good with cream and sugar to taste. It even works well iced!

With 40mg of caffeine per serving, it has about half the amount of caffeine as a normal cup of coffee. This is great for people trying to cut back or regulate their caffeine consumption. But due to the energizing effects of the functional mushrooms, it doesn’t feel weak or leave you craving another cup.

One of the biggest pros of Eco-Taste Mushroom Coffee are the health benefits it provides. Lion’s Mane, for example, is known for its ability to support cognitive function and improve memory and focus. Cordyceps has been shown to improve energy and endurance, while Chaga is a powerful antioxidant that can help boost the immune system.

While some mushroom coffee brands only contain a few kinds of mushrooms, Eco-Taste contains 10 of the most popular functional fungi. Using a dual-extraction method and only using fruiting bodies and no added fillers to extract the beneficial properties of the mushrooms, they are able to achieve a 30% beta-glucan level.

Consumer Feedback

Many reviewers have noted that the coffee has a smooth and rich taste, with the mushroom flavor being subtle and not overpowering. Some have even commented that they couldn’t tell there were mushrooms in the coffee at all. Others commented that this coffee allows them to enjoy caffeine without having jitters.

Some reviewers were not happy with the size of the container, and others try to avoid products made in China. However, the majority of reviewers left positive reviews on sites like Amazon.

One potential con of Eco-Taste Mushroom Coffee, as some reviewers pointed out, is the cost. At around $19.85 currently for a 72g container, it is more expensive than traditional instant coffee. And some other mushroom coffee brands offer larger containers at comparable prices. However, considering the added health benefits of the functional mushrooms and the smooth taste, many consumers may find the added cost to be worth it. The recommended serving size may be too small for a full cup of coffee. I have found 2 teaspoons of the mix is perfect for my coffee mugs.

Overall, Eco-Taste Mushroom Coffee is a high-quality and unique product that offers a variety of health benefits. The taste is smooth and rich, and the functional mushroom blend sets it apart from other mushroom coffee products on the market. While the cost may be higher than traditional coffee, the added benefits may be worth it for many consumers.

Favorite Fungi Product Breakdown

Value: 3/5

There are other mushroom coffee brands out there that give you more product for your money. There are some brands that will give you almost twice as much mix for the same price. However, a lot of other brands only have one to three mushrooms in the coffee mix.

Taste: 5/5

I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of Eco-Taste coffee. I’m usually not much of a fan of instant coffee, outside of camping trips. However, this coffee was my daily cup for about two weeks. I mostly enjoyed it black, and could really taste the richness the mushrooms provide. And the coffee itself is good quality and not bitter at all.

Benefits: 4/5

As someone who tries to limit caffeine consumption, I appreciate how this mushroom coffee gives me enough of a jolt to help productivity, while avoiding high-caffeine jitters. I felt more focused after enjoying a cup and feeling like I am getting more out of my coffee from all the natural benefits of the mushrooms.
